Luau Hilights

So, the luau was last night. About 25 of us were there. (Yay.) We listened to the Beach Boys and Jack Johnson. We enjoyed our shish kabobs and smoothies. We danced...we surfed...we played basketball?!

Seriously, it was really fun. Thanks to all that came. It was a great way to kick off our new Sunday night youth group. From now on, we will meet on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30pm.

Congrats to Samantha, Stephen and Kaleb. Sam won our airboarding contest with some unique moves. Stephen and Kaleb's Thriller dance captured the coveted hula doubles competition. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), I don't have any pictures of their award-winning acts.

Speaking of pictures, be sure to check out a couple of pictures of the night at the bottom of this post. We are going to try to do a better job of taking pictures of events so that we can post them online. Hope you enjoy...

Thanks to all that helped. Thecla and Samantha did a wonderful job decorating the place. Bridget and Crystal put together a scrumptuous menu...and Christina helped them prepare it. Jim and Rob were our grill masters. Thec, Rob, Keith and Clay were our judges.
